Demoscene madness in Germany during easter == Tradition!


Last years Revision already proved to be a worthy successor of the previous years Breapoints.
The Danish Underpants Brigade and friends are going this year, and this means that we will feature the bus of awesomeness again - read more below!

Facts / Overview


  • Revision takes place from 5th - 9th of april 2012 - book your calendar now!
  • Revision is located in Saarbrücken, in the far south-west corner of Germany, which supplied perfect weather for enjoying cold beers in the sun last year.
  • The bus will arrived in Saarbrücken late thursday night in order for us to get a nice sleep before the party starts on friday

    How do I sign up?


    You sign up for the bus by sending a mail with your nick/handle, and your contact email-adress to: bus (at) puryx (dot) dk
    If you plan to get on the bus in Fredericia and not Århus, please note so in your mail!
    If you sign up for the bus, why don't you go sign up for Revision as well.

    Travel plan


    Schedule (journey out - travel during DAY):
  • The bus leaves Aarhus on thursday the 5th of April at 10:00 CET. The Starting point adress is Lindholmvej 18, 8200 Århus N.
    Public busses that stop nearby: 1A and 14 - you should get off at the stop called "Danmarks Radio" (bus 1A) or "Nydamsvej" (bus 14).
  • The bus will make one pickup-stop at Fredericia banegård around an hour and a half later (around 11:30).
  • There will be a longer stop (around one hour) sometime during afternoon/evening, where you can eat and take a powernap in your seat ;)
  • We will arrive at the partyplace around 23:00-00:00 thursday night



    • Schedule (journey home):
  • We will leave on monday the 9th at around 14:30-15:00 CET.
  • There will be a break (45 minutes) sometime during the evening, where you can get something to eat.
  • Crossing the Danish border at around 00:30.
  • We will then make a stop in Fredericia around 02:30.
  • and continue to Aarhus where we plan to arrive around 04:00.


    • Please note that all schedule times are approximate, since we can run into traffic jams etc.

    Ticket price and payment details - *BE SURE TO CHECK THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS*


    The payment deadline has not yet been disclosed.

    We will need at least 30 signups for the bus-trip to take place.

    Due to rising gasprices you can expect a ticketprice around DKK 1200-1300, unless we get a signifficant amount of signups


    FAQ


    Can I pay for my ticket on the bus?
    No, you need to pay for it upfront; we will announce the deadline in time. We need around 30 people to pay before this deadline for the trip to become a reality.

    Will you allow alcohol on the bus?
    YES - but only alcohol that is either beer, or other stuff that has around the same alcohol-strength as beer. Bear in mind that alcohol consumption has to be moderate if we travel during day, in order not to annoy the Revision organizers when we arrive thursday evening.

    Will there be cold drinks and food available on the trip?
    We will stop once for food when we are about halfway there. Other than that we'll try to arrange beers and sodas included in the fee as last time

    Does the bus have a powerplug so I recharge my laptop and finish my demo?
    There will be power in the bus, however there wont be plugs for everyone. Drop me a mail if you need to have power during the ride (for finishing a production - other needs to have power doesn't really count ;))

    Is the entrance-fee included?
    No. Be sure to bring enough euros for the entrance-fee, food, beer and, if you are staying at a hotel, for the hotel.

    Then.. how much is the entrance fee at the party?
    The entrance fee has not been setteld yet.

    Does the bus have sleeping-facilities?
    Not really, no. (it's not allowed to turn the bus into a sleeping bus by law :/)

    Why aren't we going to Breakpoint?
    Because Breakpoint is dead!
